It’s “Better Late Than Never” to Go See Rich Amiri on Tour

Iconic rap artist, Rich Amiri, takes on Dallas, Texas, performing at Cambridge Room in the House of Blues, for a show full of high energy and hard beats.

As the sun came down, the streets of Dallas seemed to be bustling with people, and a large group of those heading towards Dallas’ iconic venue, House of Blues.

Rap-loving teens and young adults made their way to the venue and waited with anticipation for the night to begin, some standing in line to purchase merchandise, and others chatting with their neighbors waiting for the time to get closer to beginning the opening set.

Before it was time to see Rich Amiri, his openers Zuko and Highway were able to successfully engage with the crowd and bring fans to come together to mosh, sing, and dance with excitement while hearing slick and unique beats and rhythms. Before fans knew it, both opening sets had passed by and fans couldn’t wait for the headliner to make his appearance.

Suddenly as the beat dropped and the lights dimmed, fans began screaming with excitement as Rich Amiri jumped on stage. After his hit song “ONE CALL” blew up on Tik Tok earlier this year, the artist grew plenty of attention as a young twenty year old rapper. Throughout the set there was plenty of moshing in the crowd as well as superfans rapping to lyrics in the tracks performed. The whole set felt almost like a party, with every single member of the audience enjoying their time while hearing talented artists perform.

The time flew by as the audience had their fun and before they knew it, Amiri was finishing up his last song. After this night of fun, Rich Amiri is still not done, with a handful of tour dates left and more music in the works, the life of fame for this young rapper is just beginning.

I am currently attending the University of North Texas with a photojournalism major. I love going to concerts of all genres, whether I am stage diving or headbanging, I never miss an opportunity to appreciate live music. In my free time, I enjoy thrifting for CD's and records, spending time with my cats, going to art exhibits, and traveling (especially to NYC). My biggest inspiration is Danny Clinch, and one day I aspire to open up my own gallery to showcase my work!
