Post-hardcore band Pierce the Veil brings the ‘I CAN’T HEAR YOU’ WORLD TOUR to the Woodlands Pavilion with support from Sleeping with Sirens and Beach Weather.
The ‘I Can’t Hear You’ World Tour is an enormous endeavor for Pierce the Veil. The title of the tour is not only a direct reference to their new album, but it’s a celebration of everything they’ve done. The tour is a journey through their whole discography by performing songs from each of their five studio albums, including their recent album, The Jaws of Life (2023). This “Eras Styled” tour is meant to reach all fans – old day-ones and new fans who discovered them on social media. The tour made its stop to The Woodlands Pavilion, and the band was joined by none other than Sleeping with Sirens and Beach Weather.
Beach Weather energized the audience openers with a lively start. Their indie pop-rock style has catchy melodies and a cool, laid-back feeling that perfectly matched the fans as they rolled in. They launched with the hit “Sex, Drugs, Etc., which the fans readily sang along with, elevating the energy immediately. Their newer (“Chit Chat” and “Unlovable”) tracks also landed. Lead singer Nick Santino stated: “we are gonna play all the slow songs first and then we’ll move on to the sex songs,” a statement that ignited a laugh. Beach Weather’s easy-going delivery and cool vibes warmed up the crowd and were a strong opener for what was surely to be a great night of music.

Sleeping With Sirens completely dominated the stage as they served at the highly-anticipated support for Pierce the Veil, and they proved to us immediately that they’re still a force to be reckoned with. The audience was completely pumped, and the band went full swing with “Kick Me” from their latest album.
Everyone instantly lost it, flailing and screaming along with Kellin Quinn’s amazing vocals that echoed throughout the whole venue. The crazy screams hit just right on songs like “Leave It All Behind” and “Bloody Knuckles.” The audience was completely pumped, and the band went full swing with “Kick Me” from their latest album. It was clear with a setlist that still had all their heavy anthems mixed in with fan favorites. A few small mosh pits opened in the front of the venue to tracks like “GO GO GO” and “Better Off Dead.” The set ended with “If I’m James Dean, You are Audrey Hepburn” and “If You Can’t Hang,” which took the die-hard fans on a trip down memory lane to the band’s early days, and everyone was singing along like crazy. Sleeping with Sirens crushed it on stage like pros, they pumped up the energy to get everyone hyped for the main act coming up.

As soon as the lights dimmed, Pierce the Veil stood on BUSINESS as they walked out on stage to the tune of “EL REY” by Jose Alfredo Jimenez. The audience soaked the experience all in, and, when the opening notes of “Death of an Executioner” ripped through the Woodlands, no one stood still. The band immediately dug into their catalog, as the tour served as the band’s “ERAS” style tour. Everyone melted at “I’m Low on Gas and You Need a Jacket” and “I’d Rather Die Than Be Famous,” both hard-hitting tracks to old-school fans.
One of the best moments of the show is when the band took it down a notch for an acoustic performance of “Today I Saw the Whole World,” followed by “Wonderless.” A couple near the front row got engaged during the track, something that Fuentes happily called out. Things kicked right back into gear as the band played more nostalgic tracks, such as “Caraphernelia.” You already know the lyrics as loud as they could: “Talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas.” Vic Fuentes continues to showcase his breathtakingly beautiful voice during “Emergency Contact,” a song dedicated to their families back in San Diego.

The set ended with “Circles” from Misadventures, and Pierce the Veil quickly came out for a encore. “Can we create something beautiful and destroy it?” showed up on the screens, and the song “Disasterology” immediately began to play. The raw joy poured into the song “Hold On Till May” was real, and that connection with the crowd means something.
Of course, no Pierce the Veil show would be complete without “King for a Day,” which featured Kellin Quinn, joining the boys on stage. There was a definitive climax as every voice in the pavilion sang together during that amazing moment when everyone sang the iconic chorus – pure bliss.

Pierce the Veil’s return to Houston was undoubtedly the perfect experience. The show was indeed full of nostalgia for all of the now elder-emos. Between the crowd’s fun ‘barks’ after each song, the spectacular lighting, and homages to their previous albums, Pierce the Veil has proven to be one of the best post-hardcore bands in the scene since the very beginning. Moreover, the band’s connection with their audience felt genuine and reciprocal, creating an atmosphere of shared catharsis and celebration.
