Hallows Eve’ with Viagra Boys in Houston

Viagra Boys

Post Punk rockers Viagra Boys made their debut at the lawn at White Oak Music Hall on October 30th with coheadliner The Black Lips.

The post-punk rockers Viagra Boys were in full swing, terrorizing Texas on the night before Halloween. Costumes like shrimp, The Tick, and corn filled the crowd. The windy night kicked off with The Black Lips, the classic garage rock band, playing a fast-paced set featuring heavy hitters like Slime and Oxygen, and even a cover of The Velvet Underground’s Get It On Time.

As the night progressed, Viagra Boys began setting up the stage. Marshall amps were stacked high with the words “ShrimpTech” displayed across them. Fans were riled up and shouting as the band prepared to take the stage. Lead singer Sebastian Murphy emerged, instantly commanding attention. He hyped the crowd into pure chaos, his tattoo-covered body and beer belly embodying true dedication to the dad-bod aesthetic.

The band’s punk-driven sound, powered by fast-paced guitars and snarling vocals, filled the venue. The trumpet added an unexpected layer to their wild energy. They tore the house down with their opening track, Man Made of Meat, which immediately sparked a full-blown fist fight in the crowd. Lead singer Sebastian Murcy started pouring a can of whiteclaw all over his body and spitting it though the air.

The band is fresh off their highly praised album Viagra Boys and played several tracks from it. They raged into the night as fans crowd-surfed and lost themselves to each song. Viagra Boys continue to express their opinions and social commentary on the absurdity of the current political climate and the powers that be. The band seemed to be at the top of their game, delivering a performance fans will never forget. With their wild stage antics and chaotic energy, this band is a must-see for anyone who loves disorder and intensity in their music.
