Iconic punk rock band Green Day celebrates three separate albums in their ongoing Saviors Tour with the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas.

Green Day is almost finished the North American portion of the Saviors Tour, and of course, they had a quick pit stop in Arlington, Texas at Globe Life Field. The tour not only celebrates the iconic punk rock band’s new album, Saviors, but mainly celebrates the 30th anniversary of their album Dookie and the 20th anniversary of their album American Idiot. That night at Globe Life Field was packed full of fun for the fans. Starting with a t-shirt throw from the mascot of their coffee company, Punk Bunny Coffee, while rocking a Texas Rangers baseball jersey. After that, Green Day started off the night with “The American Dream Is Killing Me” from Saviors, and went straight into playing the entirety of their 1994 album Dookie.

While playing the entire album, the band recreated the album art on stage with video graphics and physical props, including a flying plane dropping “dookie bombs” over the crowd, which fans got to take home if they caught one. After playing the entirety of Dookie, Green Day got to playing more songs from Saviors and even had a fan come up on stage to sing a song with them. When it was time to play the entirety of American Idiot, the band again decorated the stage for the occasion. By bringing an inflatable hand with the iconic American Idiot grenade, and using graphics that depicted the album’s art style. Once American Idiot had concluded, Green Day played more from Saviors and ended the night with one of their hit songs, “Good Riddance” paired with confetti.

Throughout the show, lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, continuously tells the fans how much they love coming to Texas and even mentions that they’ve been coming to perform in Texas since they were 19 years old. Coming along with them on this tour in the US were The Linda Linda‘s, Rancid, and The Smashing Pumpkins. All of them also expressed their gratitude for coming to Texas and how they always look forward to coming back. They also expressed gratitude for the fans and the enormous amount of energy that they bring during the show. They also gave thanks to Green Day for bringing them along on the tour.

The Saviors Tour brought everything – Globe Life Stadium was full super high energy as everyone sang loud to their favorite punk-rock hits. Green Day are definitely one of the best arena bands out there, and this tour served as a great celebration of their long lasting legacy.
