Hundreds of fans waited in the rain for hours to see the Florida natives play at the iconic venue.
On a rainy Friday in Athens, Georgia, an energetic crowd watched as Flipturn made a stop in The Classic City on their 2023 tour. Hotel Fiction opened for Flipturn, and the Athens-based band expressed their excitement and gratitude to be back. The crowd sang, danced, and lit up the venue with flashlights as the band played older songs as well as songs from their most recent EP, Enjoy Your Stay.
Flipturn arrived on stage to an amped up crowd, and both the audience and the band danced and sang through their set. They played songs from their 2018 EP as well as tracks from the 2022 Album, Shadowglow. It was anything but a “Sad Disco” at the Georgia Theatre as the band played a set full of songs that all seemed to be crowd favorites.
