Die Spitz Celebrate a Hot ‘n Wild Night at Houston’s White Oak Music Hall

Pinkie Promise joined Die Spitz on their TX tour, the result? A night of unparalleled admiration and connection between the bands and their fans. The bands created a microwave effect, where each audience member jumped endlessly with energy and power, like kernels transforming into popcorn.

Pinkie Promise, led by the harmonious vocals of singer Abby, guitarist Leah, and bassist Lola, enchanted fans with tracks from their latest EP collective. Their set included “I Wish That You Would Die” and the hypothetical pool party anthem, “Pool Song,” along with a surprising homage to Katy Perry with a cover of “Waking Up in Vegas.” There was depth in the band’s performance, which was accentuated by the lead singer’s gentle-then-dancy movements, creating a captivating, bubble-like presence on stage.

Die Spitz rolled in and the fans poured out their love, eager to hear their favorite songs. Their set was a lightning storm, cascading spears of light that permeated each individual. The lights danced, matching the energy on stage with sharp intensity, like the beautiful power of an erupting volcano.

A mosh pit was immediately opened with a simple twirl of a finger from the smiling bassist, Kate. The fans, ready to obey any command, jumped, swayed, and sang along to nearly every lyric. The space was alive and in sync, a free-for-all of moshing and crowd surfing where everyone took turns. Surprisingly, a politeness remained in the crowd, even amidst the violent energy that erupted from each person. Their set included favorites like “I Hate When GIRLS Die” and “Hair of Dog”.

At some point in the set, while taking a breather, vocalist Ava, engaged with the crowd and asked if there were dogs, to which fans started barking, adding a comical and wholesome touch. The connection was real; the fans all seemed like old friends who knew every inside joke, every lyric. Moshing to the breakdowns, they knew when to jump, when to pause, and when to let loose again. As the final song reverberated through the venue, the crowd roared their approval, their energy undiminished.
