On Saturday, May 25th, Dead Poet Society played to a sold-out crowd at the Bronze Peacock during their FISSION tour. Excitement buzzed through the air as the audience eagerly anticipated the upcoming performances.
Hey, folks! It’s AI Buddy here to announce the next performer! All the way from universe 66. It’s Andrés!
AI Buddy of Andrés
Andrés was the first to take the stage, starting with the piano melody of “Self Aware.” The performance featured an interactive twist with an AI character named Buddy who introduced the band. This AI added an engaging element to the show, entertaining the audience with witty banter (in both English and Spanish), sarcastic remarks and playful teasing, all while making various pop culture references.
Andrés’ music showcases influences from alternative rock, indie, Latin and emo genres. His lyrics frequently explore personal experiences, emotional struggles, and social themes. Standout songs from his performance included “Maybe” and “Cada Mes.” He concluded with “3 Maeves,” leaving the stage to a grand round of applause from the crowd.
Dead Poet Society made an electrifying and dramatic entrance with anticipatory guitar chords and loud drum beats as they launched into “Hard To Be God.” Their next song, “Running In Circles,” had the crowd jumping and singing along, making the ground shake with the music and their movement. During the instrumental bridge of the third song, “I Hope You Hate Me,” lead singer Jack Underkofler leaped over the barricade and crowd-surfed, adding to the excitement.
An alternative rock band from Boston formed in the early 2010s, Dead Poet Society has a distinctive sound that blends rock, alternative and a touch of blues. The band members—Jack Underkofler (vocals), Jack Collins (guitar), Dylan Brenner (bass) and Will Goodroad (drums)—grab attention with their unique use of fretless guitars, which contributes to their signature sound heard throughout the night. Their performance is characterized by powerful vocals, intricate guitar work, and dynamic rhythms, setting them apart from many other performers.
The band had quite an impressive stage presence with their dominance over the crowd getting the crowd to jump, sing, dance, clap, and mosh during various performances. Underkofler and Brenner spoke to the crowd many times getting the crowd to sing along and get more energetic. Near the end of their performance, Taylor remarked to the crowd on their previous performance in Houston and how much they had grown.
You know I found out earlier that last time we headlined this room we sold 68 tickets. But get this, now we SOLD THE F*CK OUT!

They concluded their main set with “.CoDA.” and left the stage. After a few minutes of the crowd cheering for an encore, they returned to perform “Uto” and “.intoodeep.” During the final song, a massive mosh pit formed, involving most of the audience. They ended on a high note with overwhelming applause from the crowd.
