Coco Jones Sells Out the House of Blues in Dallas

Openers TA Thomas and Lady London support headliner Coco Jones at the House of Blues in Dallas.

Last Friday, singer-songwriter Coco Jones stopped at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas for her “Why Not More?” tour. For this tour, she was joined by R&B artist TA Thomas and rapper Lady London. On that hot June night, hundreds of fans wrapped around the block and awaited their turn to enter the venue. Once inside, the merch table was stocked with a variety of apparel, including t-shirts and hoodies. The attendees quickly packed the general admission floor and filled the seats on the balcony. DJ Zookeeper warmed up the crowd, and everyone sang and danced along to the toe-tapping tracks.

The first act to hit the stage was TA Thomas, a soul artist from Mississippi. TA Thomas has more than 100 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his song “Maybe” has garnered more than 600 thousand streams. Last month, he released his EP titled Southern Soul. During his performance, TA Thomas wore an all-denim outfit and captured the audience’s attention with his smooth and powerful voice.

The second act of the night was Lady London, a hip-hop artist from New York. Lady London has more than 200 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and her track “Pop Ya Shit” has racked up almost 6 million streams. Over the past year, she has released a series of singles including “My Ting Different” and “Is You Krazy?”. In between the energetic songs in her set, Lady London handed out roses, asked the crowd questions, and recited slam poetry.

The last act to hit the stage was Coco Jones, a pop artist from South Carolina. Coco Jones has almost 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and her hit “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” has more than 32 million streams. In April, she released her album titled Why Not More?, as well as the extended version in May. Coco Jones was accompanied by two backup dancers during her performance, and they all wore eye-catching blue outfits. Her setlist incorporated several fan-favorite tracks, including “Taste” and Caliber”. Overall, Coco Jones was able to flawlessly deliver vocals, choreography, and engagement.
