Chase Shakur brings the Wonderlove Tour to fans in Chicago with support from Swavay and Isaiah Kaleo as special guests.
Eager fans were excited to see what the night had to come for the Wonderlove Tour in Chicago; where they held a VIP Experience first hand for fans before GA came in that also included sound check with Shakur. The lights dimmed down in the Promontory as the opening guest Isaiah Kaleo made his way to the stage to perform a few songs; not too long after Swavay came in with the most hype energy to the show right before Shakur made his grand entrance for the night.
Following his last set, the floor was completely packed for Shakur to arrive on stage. Live visuals played during the DJ’s “FOCUS ON ME” remix entrance strongly hyped up the eager fans right before. Shakur performed a few tracks from his latest album Wonderlove “UNDERCOVER ANGEL”, “WANT YOU” and “FACE IT”. The release of Wonderlove occurred this year in early February, just before the U.S. & Canada tour announcement.
As one song flowed to the next, he also performed a few tracks from his 2022 album It’ll Be Fine like “honda civic ‘98” and “too close” that were crowd favorites. An honorable mention, he also performed “slide” from it’s not you, it’s me…it’s love 2023 album. His show radiated genuine love as fans embraced his melodic sounds throughout the entire set.
Shakur ended the night with “FOCUS ON ME” whilst his special guests and he passed out roses to everyone in the front area of the crowd and even tossed some to fans who couldn’t reach. It was a memorable night for Chicago fans who have been waiting to hear his album titled Wonderlove live.
Shakur’s music is surrounded by R&B, hip-hop, funk & soul; he has collaborated with artists like Smino, TyFontaine and RIMON on his latest album. If you haven’t gotten a chance to experience the magic and essence of his concert yet, the Wonderlove Tour will be finishing up at the end of May this month with just only a few shows left.
