On July 25th, Buscabulla transported the audience into a world of enchanting melodies, vibrant rhythms, and heartfelt lyrics, creating an unforgettable night of musical magic at The Studio at the Factory.
Buscabulla is a Puerto Rican musical duo consisting of Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle. They create a unique blend of indie pop, electronic, and Latin music, incorporating elements of Caribbean sounds into their music. In 2020, Buscabulla released their latest album, “Regresa” which means return, following the poignant decision to return to their roots in Puerto Rico in 2018 after the devastating tragedy of Hurricane Maria. Brimming with bittersweet emotions, the album delves deep into themes of self-reflection and unwavering perseverance.
After gracing the stage for special live appearances during fellow Puerto Rican Bad Bunny’s “World’s Hottest Tour,” Buscabulla makes a comeback with their own “11:11” summer tour, igniting venues in North America with their infectious energy and mesmerizing performances. Kicking off the night in style, Bairoa who is also a keyboardist and guitarist for Buscabulla, took the stage with an invigorating DJ set. He began the night with a dynamic blend of electronic and latin sounds. He set the perfect tone for an evening filled with boundless energy and excitement.
When it was time for Buscabulla to hit the stage Raquel shocked the crowd as she rocked a neon orange bob which matched perfectly to her pants while Luis showed out in a matching 2-piece green Buscabulla baseball jersey. They began their set with a track titled “La Fibre” and into a percussive heavy song “Vamono.” Most of the set list contained music from “Regresa” and ended with a fan favorite “Tartaro” from their second EP. As they leave the stage the crowd roars for an encore in which Buscabulla comes out to perform their song featured in Bad Bunny’s album “Un Verano Sin Ti” titled “Andrea.”
If the soundtracks weren’t enough to keep the audience entertained with singing and dancing, Buscabulla took their live performance to another level with stunning visual accompaniments. The mesmerizing backdrop displayed shimmering water, vibrant clouds, and beach-related imagery, transporting the crowd to an ethereal world of beauty and wonder. The perfect complement to the music, these visuals added an immersive and enchanting dimension to the already exhilarating experience, leaving the audience fully immersed in the magic of the concert.
