Big Time Rush visited Houston on August 17 during their ‘In Real Life Worldwide’ Tour with special guests / co-stars Stephen Kramer Glickman and Katelyn Tarver.
Big Time Rush made their debut in 2009 when the band was formed simultaneously with the Nickelodeon TV show. The TV series lasted for four seasons and concluded in 2013. During that time, Big Time Rush released three studio albums with many of the songs included in episodes. In 2023, the band released Another Life, their first record post-television show. Their latest single “I Want You Here All The Time” dropped on June 20. Big Time Rush stopped at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas and played an unforgettable show.
Stephen Kramer Glickman, who played as producer Gustavo Rocque in the television series, kicked off the night. He played covers of iconic pop songs such as “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan and “Drivers License” by Olivia Rodrigo. He was funny and sang wonderfully, making for a great first act of the show.

Next to hit the stage was Katelyn Tarver, who played Jo Taylor on the show. She played many of her originals including “Nicer” and her newest song “Don’t Eat Pray Love” which came out on August 15. Her and her band had amazing chemistry and the fans were excited to see and hear her perform.

As Big Time Rush took the stage, the title sequence to the show played on the big screen. The band appeared, the audience screamed and cheered, and then they played the rest of “Big Time Rush” to kick off the show. From the start, Kendall, Carlos, James and Logan had incredible choreography and high energy stage presence. The second song they played, “Windows Down”, hails from their sophomore album Elevate, and had the crowd in awe.
The band had a long and extensive setlist, including every song from every episode of the show. This was a nostalgic experience for many fans in attendance, as Gen Z grew up watching the show on Nickelodeon and playing Big Time Rush CDs on their radios. Stephen Kramer Glickman joined the band on stage and played piano as each member sang their solo songs, as well as the hilarious “Giant Turd” song.

Partway through the show, a small stage emerged between the lawn and the seats. Big Time Rush took to the second stage and performed acoustic versions of a few songs, including “Count On You” with Katelyn Tarver. As they made their way back to the main stage, each member selected a fan from the audience to join them onstage for “Worldwide”, one of their most famous songs. These fans were completely starstruck and had the time of their lives onstage with the band.
Big Time Rush played several more tracks including “Love Me Love Me”, “Nothing Even Matters” and “If I Ruled The World” before briefly exiting the stage. As they came back for the encore, the crowd went wild. They wrapped up the show with “Till I Forget About You” and “Boyfriend”. The show was absolutely incredible.

Big Time Rush brought together so many loving fans and everyone left feeling amazing.
