jungle bobby set the tone with a high-energy opener, getting the crowd moving before the main event. bbno$ kept the momentum going with a super fun and energetic set with more than a few memorable moments that made this show feel like more than just another tour stop.
As the door’s for Emo’s opened and the venue began to fill, you could feel the anticipation brewing in the crowd. The anticipation instantly turned to excitement and high energy once the opener, jungle bobby, set foot on stage.
From the start, jungle bobby’s performance was all about spreading love and positivity. His funky and bouncy sound had everyone jumping around and dancing while he matched their vibe doing the same on stage. bobby would get the audience involved by having back and forths with the crowd singing his lyrics, especially on his biggest song, “take a trip.” jungle bobby has toured with bbno$ before and it’s clear why as he was the perfect opener to prime the crowd for the main event.

Once bbno$ hit the stage, the energy in the packed venue went up another level. After performing a few songs like “Two” and “lil’ freak,” he talked about how he and Yung Gravy had performed at the same venue, Emo’s, in 2019. He wanted to perform a song they had together but would need someone to take Gravy’s place, so he brought up a girl in clown makeup and a cowgirl hat and she definitely held her own. The two went back and forth for a few songs and he actually ended up giving her a copy of Mix-Tape Pot-Luck, a cookbook by Questlove that bbno$ had signed.

He continued his set by bringing back out his opener, jungle bobby, and performed some of his biggest songs like “Edamame” and “Lalala.” You could feel the energy and excitement beaming throughout the venue as everyone jumped, danced, and sang along. At this point the energy from the audience was at its peak and bbno$ even stated that this has been the best show of the tour by far. Feeling the gratitude for his success, he said he almost wanted to call his mom and was then urged to by chants throughout the crowd. He then proceeded to call his mom on speaker with his phone up to the microphone, had everyone say hi, thanked her, and continued the set.
Before ending his set, he brought up a lot of streamers and close friends of his on stage that helped him in his career. Of these, some notable streamers on stage were Mizkif, Knut, and Esfand. Together bbno$, his friends, and the audience all sang and danced together for the last few songs of the set to cap off an incredible night of live music.

Obviously I am a big music fan, some of my favorites being Tyler, the Creator, Nujabes, TV Girl, J. Cole, and Kaytranada just to name a few. But other than music, I also really enjoy basketball and learning more about fashion.
