Almost Monday Plays for a Sold-Out Crowd at Dickies Arena

Pop trio Almost Monday opens up for AJR on The Maybe Man Tour in Fort Worth.

This year, indie pop band, AJR announced a tour dedicated to their latest album, “The Maybe Man”. On this tour, the band decided to bring along indie pop band from San Diego, California, Almost Monday, as one of their openers. Almost Monday has a fun, upbeat, California vibe to not only their music but their on-stage presence as well. While Being the first opener of the night on The “Maybe Man” Tour at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth Texas, Almost Monday got the crowd dancing and up on their feet within the first song of their set.

Almost Monday has gotten some amazing opportunities with opening for other bands on tour in the past, but it seems like they had the most fun with this tour. From dancing with crowd members, pointing and singing directly to them, and even taking a Polaroid picture with the whole crowd in the arena that night, lead singer, Dawson Daugherty was having the time of his life on that stage.

Almost Monday was able to perform some crowd favorites like “sun keeps on shining” and “sunburn”. They were also very excited to play some of their newer songs such as “tidal wave” and “can’t slow down”. With the band only having released a ton of singles and a few EPs in the past, some fans are hopeful that a debut album will soon arise from the growing band.

Until then, Almost Monday has had a blast while touring with AJR and the other opener, mxmtoon, who Almost Monday has also loved touring alongside as well and was happily getting the crowd fired up to see her perform. Almost Monday is also set to go on tour with The Drivers Era in Europe starting in September of this year.
