Album Review: MisterWives Release their Long-Awaited Album ‘Nosebleeds’

MisterWives redefines their music and takes back their sound with latest album, Nosebleeds.

On July 14th, MisterWives released their fourth album, Nosebleeds. In this latest album, the band focuses on taking their power back within life and their musical careers. After being dropped from their record label in 2021, they took what would have been a tragic event for their music and turned it into a blossoming flower that their fans have absolutely adored. After forming Resilient Little Records shortly after, the band has been more open to exploring their sound and has decided to add touches of post-punk to their latest album alongside their indie pop personality.

The album takes you on a journey through the growth of the band and deals with things that can be difficult for everyone. Some songs, such as, “Dagger” and “Ultraviolet” are meant to show a longing to change and grow from the past that one has struggled with. From that growth, we learn to let things go, or at least try to as expressed in the song “Sideways”. Some of the songs featured on the album also deal with more personal aspects of the artists’ lives. Such as “Trigger Pull”, which is based on letting lose and getting out of your comfort zone. Any fan of their music can tell that the band wanted to play with some new sounds and see how it turned out. Luckily for them, their fans have enjoyed growing and changing alongside the band while they look at their music from a new angle.

MisterWives has recently announced “The Don’t Look Down Tour” alongside Bishop Briggs which is set to begin on September 8th, 2023. They have expressed their excitement about starting this tour through their social media platforms and they are very proud of their album. With sharing countless photos, and videos and even talking about the meaning behind these songs from Nosebleeds, it is very clear that the band was extremely excited for the world to hear their new sounds. Nosebleeds is now available to stream on all platforms.
