Sabrina Carpenter has released her latest album, Man’s Best Friend.

The album we’ve all been anticipating is finally here!

Sabrina Carpenter‘s Man’s Best Friend has been receiving raving reviews both online and in the charts. From Tik Tok dances to “Tears” dethroning Chappell Roan’s “The Subway” on the charts, it’s clear that this album has had the impact Sabrina wanted. So, what makes this album so good and addictive to listeners? Sabrina has added elements of ’80s pop and country twang to this album. Mix all of that with her 1950s style and you have a recipe for a nostalgic yet modern take on this new era of pop music.

What’s all led up to Man’s Best Friend? In the beginning of the year, Sabrina was seen in a park with a golden retriever puppy. At first, fans and news outlets speculated that she had simply gotten a new dog. In actuality, it was the biggest teaser for her brand-new album. The release day for Man’s Best Friend was huge. Sabrina made the album available for everyone to listen to and also dropped a music video for her song “Tears.” In the fun-filled video, fans believe she drew inspiration from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, actor and playwright Colman Domingo appears in full drag alongside other drag artists. Fans have raved about the music video, earning it an alternative ending.

In June, Sabrina teased and released the first song off the album and single, “Manchild”. Fans across the globe made the single a big hit. Also, the crazy, chaotic music video that accompanied it hid teasers for her upcoming album. For example, the letters ‘MBF’ shown on one of the motorcycles teased the album’s name. Next, upcoming song title “When Did You Get Hot” is seen on a mug. Shortly after, Sabrina unveiled the title, cover art and release date for Man’s Best Friend.

Sabrina involved her fans leading up to the release of Man’s Best Friend and gave them an experience they wouldn’t forget. In New York City, Los Angeles, and London, she personally chose 26 fans from each city to come to a recording studio and hear the new album before anybody else. Before that, Sabrina had fans help her announce the track list on social media by having each of them pose with a director’s chair saying the title of each song.

Fans are hopeful for what she will do with this new era. Though nothing has been announced yet, fans speculate that a tour announcement is not far behind, and they are hoping to get a deluxe version of Man’s Best Friend in the future as well.
