On Friday, May 24, Colombian Urbano singer FEID performed at Houston’s Toyota Center as part of the FERXXOCALIPSIS World Tour.
From working alongside latin legends like Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Sebastián Yatra, Manuel Turizo and others, Feid made a name for himself after releasing his debut album Así Como Suena in 2017. On top of changing his brand to a more green-centric vibe with a new urban + reggateon sound, his third album Ferxxo (Vol 1: M.O.R) became well-known as it peaked #27 on the Latin Billboard charts. Everything else is history – now he is one of the best Latin artists in the scene right now.
The singer performed in Houston this past year at Smart Financial Center for the FERXXO NITRO UNDERGROUND tour, and it was a pleasure to see the venue upgrade he ratified this year. Toyota Center was full of everyone wearing green and hints of orange to represent the singer’s most recent EP Ferxxocalipsis. The stage looked like a playground – three separate cages with 4 extended platforms, making every seat at the venue a good one. The stage lights dimmed and the stage turned neon green, signifying that the night belonged to el FERXXO (pronounced ‘Fercho).
Throughout the entire night, FEID ran all around the stage and up the cages during every single song. To catch a break, the Colombian singer would sit down to sign autographs for people in the general admission, including a FC Barcelona jersey that included his current partner’s logo on it. On top of close fan interactions, the singer would always check with – at one point asking about all the different cultures (Colombian, Mexican, El Salvadoran, etc.) that were present in the audience. On top of performing songs he was featured on such as Bad Bunny’s “Perro Negro,” he played all the hits – including songs from Mor, No Le Temas a la Oscuridad (“BUBALU,” “FERXXO151,” and “RITMO DE MEDALLO”) and FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS FERXXO TE PIRATEAMOS EL ÁLBUM (“Castigo,” “Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo” and “Prohibidox”). He also played bangers from the Ferxxocalipsis EP, y todo el mundo estaba perreando.
From performing a sold-out show at the House of Blues in Houston back in 2022 to performing a packed show at one of Houston’s beloved venues – it sure reflects on FEID’s growth as an artist. The show overall was one for the books, and it’s exciting to see where his musical journey heads next. After all, we are always down to parchar con el FERXXO!
