Florence Rose releases their second EP four months after teasing us with one of their singles from the new EP Baby Blue.

Florence Rose is an indie-pop/rock band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who are making big waves in their local indie music scene. After being gifted with a guitar as a freshman in high school, singer Braden Norris quickly fell in love and started releasing songs just two years later as a junior. His love for music and determination to make a career out of music formed the band Florence Rose. The band has been busy since releasing their first self-titled EP back in 2019 – working to create a new and more polished sound.

The Way Things Change is a perfect blend of nostalgia and new beginnings. This four song EP is full of idyllic guitar riffs and steady upbeat drums that could easily be the soundtrack of your summer. The EP was written over a course of a year, and all stems from the idea of going through different life changes – all while juggling relationships. A major theme is seen throughout this strong collection of tunes – you grow up and find out who you are as you enter the world on your own for the first time. Although Florence Rose had numerous demos, they were selective when choosing their favorite songs for their EP. “Move!!!” is the first song on the EP and it’s exactly perfect to start your listening journey. The Way Things Change has a fresh sound that is both uniquely chill yet upbeat. It also induces heavy air drum playing while listening and who doesn’t love that? Go check out Florence Rose now and have a listen for yourself.
