REYNA Releases New Heartbreak EP “you could at least say goodbye”

Breakup School is in session as REYNA release their debut EP full of heartbreak anthems you’ll be sure to have on repeat.

REYNA just released their debut EP you could at least say goodbye, which is full of heartbreak anthems just in time for summer. Milwaukee sisters REYNA take us on a full circle journey – from the heartbreak at the start of a breakup to healing from it and moving on. This five song EP, in sequential order, accurately depicts the stages of someone experiencing a breakup. You can feel the desperation in the lyrics of “talk it out,” which is REYNA’s first song on the EP. 

Although “talk it out” is a sorrowful plea for a lost lover, musically, it is an upbeat dance song. Fast forward to the last song on the EP, “todo to nada” with the direct translation being “all to nothing.” The duo sings the lyrics “You’ll just be another one that goes from todo to nada.” This indie/dance beat is definitely a summer jam with bouncy bass rhythms and beachy guitar riffs, tied together with triumphant trumpets closing out both the song and EP.

In addition to being singer/songwriters, REYNA has created a reputation for coupling their songs with incredible music videos. The duo released both the song and video for “you could at least say goodbye” back in March setting the tone for their anticipated EP debut. REYNA paired their EP release with yet another video, this time for their song “Orgullosa” which translates to “proud.” In this video, REYNA takes you to the school of heartbreak where they sing about missing their ex but are “too proud to beg.” They’ve also released many lyric videos for their songs, so fans can sing along.
