Help us say farewell to the beloved pop punk band, Sum 41 after they play their final show in Dallas, Texas.
In May of 2023, Sum 41 announced that they would be breaking up the band after 27 years of amazing work together. After just about every single high and low a band could go through, they decided it was for the best and wanted to leave Sum 41 on the highest note possible. The band had announced that their latest album, Heaven :x: Hell, would be their final album. With this final album, it not only pays homage to their entire music career but shows the duality of both the pop-punk and the metal side of their music. Sum 41 also announced a final world tour called Tour of the Setting Sum.
With this tour being wholeheartedly for the long-term fans and new fans that they made along the way, Sum 41 has made their farewell tour to go along with their farewell album, Heaven :x: Hell. Fans are heartbroken to see them go but are very proud of everything that the band has accomplished in the past 30 years. It’s clear this band has made quite an impression on the world and even more so on their fans.
Even though the night started out with a few sound issues, the band quickly got it resolved, and the lead singer, Deryck Whibley, showed his gratitude to the fans with a few waves to them and blowing kisses. Once the show got up and running, the band was able to rock the night out at The Pavilion at The Toyota Music Factory. With lots of chances of using confetti as well as smoke machines and pyrotechnics, it’s very obvious that Sum 41 knows how to put on a show. And why not go all out for your last tour? Sum 41 had the time of their lives up on stage in Dallas as well as their openers, Many Eyes and The Interrupters.
At the end of the night, Sum 41 ended their Dallas show with their hit song, “In Too Deep”. After several minutes and a majority of the crowd had left, Sum 41 came back out for the hardcore fans who wouldn’t end the night, or their music career, without one more song. The band officially ended the night with their song “So Long Goodbye”.
