ACL Weekend One was a blast, but we know Weekend Two will also be a weekend to remember.

Austin City Limits is the legendary Texas festival that has it all — songs for long road trips, chart-topping artists, local legends, beer gardens and a lot more. Weekend Two is full of amazing artists and experiences, some that you don’t want to miss out on. Need some new music to dance to or just wanna vibe with the crowd? We got you covered. Here are 5 artists you should check out at the fest.

Black Pumas

Picture this: Eric Burton’s calming vocals inviting the sun to set from the Lady Bird stage in the great city of Austin on a Friday. If you have waited for a live experience of their 2019 debut self-titled album, now is your chance to get groovy with the local Austin group. Black Pumas are an Austin treasure — they have been nominated for numerous awards including “Best New Artist” and “Record of the Year” at the Grammys. They have also seen widespread success with their breakthrough track “Colors.” The band has played many shows throughout 2021, including many hometown shows at the infamous Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater and Lollapalooza. This is a set you do not want to miss, so kick back and enjoy their heart wrenching performance along with the early George Strait crowd.

Jade Bird

British singer-songwriter Jade Bird offers listeners a fresh interpretation of upbeat folk by blending together elements of rock, folk and country. She lets her musical storytelling lead the way and will amaze you with her powerful voice. Experience the scene of her acoustic guitar expressing the most astonishing emotions available. She has performed in all kinds of small venues since the age of 13, and has recently released her new album Different Kinds of Light.  She will perform early on Saturday at the T-Mobile Stage, so make sure to get there on time to jam to her set!

Arlie

Encapsulate yourself in progressive indie rock made by the Nashville, TN band Arlie. The band took a short break after  the release of their breakthrough 2018 EP, Wait, but have recently released three singles: “Karma,” “Poppin” and “Wait a Minute.” Listening to their music is very indulging, and can be compared to feeling buzzed while on a sugar rush.  Arlie is bound to slide their way into your playlist, making you want to be cruising around town on a late evening with the wind blowing through your hair. Frontman Nathaniel Banks’ soothing voice will be heard at the VRBO stage on Saturday afternoon, so catch a song or stay awhile to get to know Arlie! You might get a sneak peak of new music.

Remi Wolf

If we go as far back into her American Idol days, you’ll be delighted to see a young Remi Wolf make her introduction into the music world that still holds true today. From her playful songwriting to the non-genre specific sound — Remi is an absolute vibe. The colorful and fun aesthetic she brings in her art, paired with strong vocals, sets the mood to a fresh, new ambience. Performing on the T-mobile Stage on Saturday afternoon, she is a definite must-see. The funky feel of her music and her stage presence invites the feel-good energy your soul needs. Even in October weather, it’ll be like having a spontaneous hang out with friends in the summertime. Remi has already teased us with single releases from her upcoming album, Juno. Even more reason to be in the crowd and maybe catch an early listen to some new tracks before the project is out Oct 15!

Serena Isioma

Serena Isioma is a down-to-earth soul who projects a ‘chill-rap’ aesthetic. The Chicago-based artist released their first album, The Sun Leo Sets, last year and has racked up a lot of listeners over time. Their soft, melodic voice makes you feel chill while their intimate lyrics give you a hint of nostalgia. The 20-year old singer describes their sound as raw and honest, while recognizing that their music doesn’t fit a specific genre. With songs like “I Feel Fantastic” and “I Don’t Want to Go,” they demonstrate versatility and focus on the fact that the music comes straight from the heart and isn’t tainted by thoughts of fame or fortune. Being a newcomer and a successful musician while still being in school, the future for Isioma is looking bright. Catch the early train to their fanbase at the Honda Stage on Sunday morning.
