Dashboard Confessional Serenades a Sold Out Crowd at Stubb’s in Austin

Emo legends Dashboard Confessional made a stop at Stubb’s in Austin, TX, during their Fall Tour, with support from BOYS LIKE GIRLS and Taylor Acorn. The show felt like a reunion of old friends, and everyone sang their hearts out.

Dashboard opened their electric set with two deep cuts, “The Best Deceptions” and “Again I Go Unnoticed.” They continued to play hits spanning from their entire discography including “Turpine Chaser” from MTV Unplugged, “Stolen” and their newest single with BOYS LIKE GIRLS, “Watch The Fire.”

BOYS LIKE GIRLS opened their set with “Five Minutes To Midnight.” Lead singer, Martin Johnson reminisced on the past back when “we weren’t perpetually tired” and when everyone had Dashboard and BOYS LIKE GIRLS on their Myspace pages.  “She’s Got A Boyfriend Now” and brought out Taylor Acorn to sing on “Two Is Better Than One.” BOYS LIKE GIRLS closed their set with “The Great Escape” and challenged the crowd to put their phones away and enjoy the song like we did in 2006.

Taylor Acorn opened up the sold out show with her alt-pop energy playing tracks like “Coma,” “Birds Still Sing” and “Psycho.”
