Rapper Danielle Balbuena, who goes by the stage name 070 Shake, made a stop at House of Blues Houston as part of her “You Can’t Kill Me” Tour with special (local artist) guest Jet the 3rd.
070 Shake is on the rise and is currently set to release her sophomore effort titled You Can’t Kill Me. In 2020, she released her debut studio album Modus Vivendi and has collaborated with major artists like Kanye West and Swedish House Mafia. In anticipation for her album release, she sought out on a North American tour to hype fans up.
To start off the night, local Houston rapper Jet the 3rd took the stage. Her tracks had a melodious flow, something all fans were enjoying. She played songs like “Solitude,” as well as a few unreleased tracks. At the end of her thirty minute set, she asked the fans to put up their 3s in the air for a picture, and everyone listened.
070 Shake walked on stage to open her set with a prelude from her upcoming album. Before she continued with the show, she asked fans for a moment of silence to pay respects for the 19 lives lost during the Uvalde School massacre. She then played an amazing and energetic show, filled with hits like “Glitter” and “Morrow,” as well as new hits from her upcoming album like “Skin and Bones” and “Web.” Her fans were more than energetic as everyone kept calling 070 Shake by her first name and telling her how much they loved her. Mosh pits broke out and absolutely no one in the crowd was still. She ended her set by playing Kanye West’s “Ghost Town,” in which 070 Shake helped write. All in all, it was such a vibrant show and the energy was unmatched.
Listen to 070 Shake’s upcoming album called You Can’t Kill Me, which is set to be released on June 3rd, 2022.
